Dr Anuruddha Dissanayake is an experienced consultant psychiatrist with more than a decade of expertise in both Australia and Sri Lanka. He completed his psychiatric training in Queensland, Australia, and in Sri Lanka. After serving as a board-certified specialist in psychiatry for seven years in Sri Lanka, he transitioned his career to Australia, commencing as a consultant psychiatrist in Victoria in 2020. In 2022, he was awarded Fellowship of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists (FRANZCP).

Over the course of his 25-year medical career, Dr Dissanayake has demonstrated consistent excellence in both clinical practice and academia. As a general adult psychiatrist, his areas of interest include attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), mood disorders, anxiety disorders, psychoses, and post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). In addition to English, he also speaks Sinhalese.
