Nick is a psychiatrist specialising in Child & Adolescent and General Adult psychiatry. He completed a bachelor of medicine at the University of Newcastle, then specialised in psychiatry at Sydney’s Royal North Shore Hospital and Royal Darwin Hospital in the Northern Territory. He gained a certificate in Child and Adolescent psychiatry through the Mindful Centre at the University of Melbourne. Nick has experience with a diverse range of people in both hospital and community settings, across urban, regional and remote Australia.
Nick provides individualised, evidence-based care, first working to gain an understanding of a person’s story, experiences and relationships. He collaborates with people and, when relevant, their families, to develop shared goals and a path to recovery. His treatment plans take a holistic approach, encompassing social and psychological wellbeing in addition to medication and physical health, and are tailored to personal strengths and interests.
Nick works with children, adults and families from diverse social and cultural backgrounds. He sees people experiencing situational distress in addition to people with disorders such as depression, anxiety and ADHD and schizophrenia.
In addition to Pandion Health, Nick works in public hospital and community settings. He enjoys opportunities for teaching and advocacy. Nick has a passion for music, visual arts and sport, which he uses in his therapy with children and adults. He enjoys spending time with his family and traveling.
