Bachelor of Social Work (Hons); Bachelor of Criminology & Criminal Justice

Nathan is a social worker who studied at the University of New South Wales. Currently working as a school counsellor at a private co-educational school in Sydney’s Sutherland Shire, Nathan has honed his skills in supporting children and their families through various mental health challenges. Nathan has experience in delivering various therapies, including Trauma Therapy, Narrative Therapy, Grief and Loss Therapy, Family Therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy. Furthermore, Nathan has supported clients on their mental health journey by creating websites and crafting valuable resources that complement his counselling services.

Nathan’s expertise is working with children, youth and families. His down-to-earth, gentle approach enables children and youth to feel safe when sharing their story. By harnessing the power of storytelling, Nathan empowers his clients to reframe their experience, build resilience and create a positive sense of self. Additionally, Nathan provides a holistic perspective that locates individuals within the context of their environment. By acknowledging the interconnectedness of individuals and their social systems, Nathan implements a culturally sensitive approach to his counselling.

Nathan loves all things sport especially Liverpool FC. He also enjoys going for a run with his wife, before rewarding himself with some hot chips.
