Throughout her career, Jess has worked in acute and non-acute inpatient and outpatient hospital settings, home environments, high school settings and offers support using telehealth platforms. Jess’ experience has provided her with invaluable skills and knowledge around working with children, adolescents, and adults, presenting with mental health disorders, drug and alcohol detoxification, complex presentations, self-harm and suicidal ideation.
Jess is a warm and down-to-earth Art Psychotherapist. From the outset, Jess values the importance of developing a safe, therapeutic relationship, holding space for a person to explore their inner and external worlds. Jess has a particular interest in working with Psychosis, Schizophrenia, relationship difficulties, psychological and physical difficulties stemming from trauma and anyone who has found a verbal/ traditional approach to therapy to be unhelpful for them.
Jess works from a humanistic, trauma-informed perspective, striving to walk alongside her clients while supporting them to overcome life’s difficulties. She integrates a variety of therapeutic models to support the whole person. These include art and creative therapies, attachment-based therapies, mindfulness, schema therapy, family systems therapy, CBT and DBT.
Jess is an artist and musician in her spare time. She loves a good cup of coffee, spending time with her cats and getting outdoors to adventure.
